Education is a medium for social change responsible for character building and personality development as well as preparing a learner to face the challenge in the future. Education in the 21st century bring new challenges in the students to make them equip with the skills that will be required to succeed in the new-age learning environment.
Attaining these challenges mandates inculcating young minds with knowledge, skills, values and attitudes to address the interconnected global challenges, poverty, inequality, carbon footprint, e-waste, gender issues and population problems. It also calls for developing their research skills along with critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork and communication skills. The role of the teacher and institute became more challenging to impart ethical values, scientific temper and humanistic concern to the student as a vital component in the whole process of education.
The Government Hindi Teachers’ Training College, Imphal is the premier institution for Hindi Teachers training in the Imphal West District, Manipur running two years Hindi Shikshan Parangat (Equivalent to B.Ed.) recognized by the NCTE and affiliated to the Manipur University. Many students from Manipur and other states of Eastern India are undergoing training in this college.
The Government Hindi Teachers’ Training College acknowledges the importance of quality of teacher training programme as the teachers are responsible for nurturing the children’s talents, building character and making them good citizens of the country when they serve in their respective schools. Our college is providing both theory lessons and practical in various realms of teacher training programme in line with the NCTE, Manipur University and schools syllabus prescribed by the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur.
Faculty Members are highly dedicated with strong commitment towards achievement of vision, mission and objectives of the college. Eco-friendly campus in the midst of the Imphal City equipped with library, laboratories, multipurpose hall and sports facilities helps the students in learning their courses in systematic manner.
